A: The Manfrotto spring clamp enables you to quickly mount a measurement microphone on the backs of theatre seats, balcony railings, pipes, beams, table tops or any other object up up to 1.6" (41 mm) in thickness -- a terrific option when you need to mount a microphone in locations where a mic stand is impractical to use or when you need to leave your mic stand at home.  *Not recommended for use on people or pets.
