UPDATE: April 9th, 2025. The US Government just announced a 90 day pause on reciprocal tariffs, except for goods coming from China, bringing the universal tariff level for all countries to 10%. What does this mean for the prices of products we carry in our store? It is too soon to know for sure. Nor do we know whether this pause in tariffs will hold. At this point, your guess is as good as ours. So we will just continue to monitor the situation, and do our best to keep up with the ever-changing tariff landscape we find ourselves in.
-----------------------------
On April 2, 2025 the US government imposed a sweeping set of tariffs on products imported from virtually every country across the globe. These tariffs range from a baseline of 10% up to as high as 104%, depending upon country of origin.
Some of the products we offer in our online store will be affected by these tariffs, and we are in communication with our vendors about their plans for dealing with the tariffs, and any planned pricing changes that may occur.
We will do our best to try to mitigate the impact of these tariffs and to keep our prices as low as possible for as long as possible. Unfortunately, for a small business like ours, this may prove difficult in the long run.
We stocked up on many items before the tariffs went into effect and will be able to continue to offer our current prices on those items while supplies last. However once we sell through our existing inventory, we may be forced to raise prices or implement a tariff surcharge.
Any tariff-related price increases will affect hard-good products only. Prices for Smaart software products will remain at their current levels, no matter what.
We truly appreciate your business and thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate these uncertain times.
