Educational Partnership Program

The Smaart Educational Partnership Program allows partner institutions access to deeply discounted pricing for multi-install licenses of Smaart or Smaart Data Modeler in order to outfit entire computer and/or audio labs within their program. In addition, partner institutions receive training material support and discounts on personal licenses for students and staff.

Enrolling in the Smaart Educational Partnership program includes the following benefits:

  • Discounted pricing for Educational Multi-Install Perpetual Licenses of Smaart (any edition) and/or Smaart Data Modeler
  • Access to Smaart educational materials
  • Discounts on personal licenses for faculty and currently enrolled students
  • Use of Smaart software logos in course and educational program descriptions.

Educational Multi-Install License (EML) Pricing:
Smaart EMLs are priced per-install, with a 10-install minimum

    Educational Multi-Install License (EML) Restrictions:

    • Institution program or department must sign Educational License Supplemental Terms prior to delivery of an EML.
    • EML Licenses may only be installed on institution-owned computers within the registered program / department..
    • Software under an EML may NOT be installed on student or faculty personal computers.

    Training Materials:
    Smaart Educational Partners can request access to selected portions of Rational Acoustics' Smaart training materials, which may be used only as part of course materials required for an instructor-supervised class offered by the Partner’s educational institution. These materials may not be distributed publicly via printed or electronic means.

    Faculty and Student Software Pricing:
    Once an EML has been purchased by an Educational Partner institution, currently enrolled students and faculty may purchase individual licenses of Smaart, or Smaart Data Modeler, software for their own personal use at half (50%) of published list price. This offer is good for perpetual licenses only.  No student/staff discounts are available for subscription licenses. Enrollment/Employment verification is required via the Student/Staff Verification Form.

    In order for the Student/Staff discount to apply, Educational Partner Institutions must have an EML of the most current version of Smaart or Smaart Data Modeler. Educational Institutions who have EML’s of previous versions of Smaart or Smaart Data Modeler will have a 6-month grace period from the release of any major new version in which to purchase a new EML, after which time the student/staff discount will become inactive.

    Upgrading From a Previous Version EML:
    Because of the deeply discounted pricing for Smaart EMLs, we do not offer upgrades on these licenses. Institutions wishing to upgrade their Smaart EML from a previous version to one of the most currently available versions will need pay for a new Smaart EML and sign new Educational License Supplemental Terms.

    Do you accept Purchase Orders?

    If your school requires the use of a PO to place an order, we will accept them. But please keep in mind that we require prepayment for all Educational Partnership License orders. We do not offer terms. So please be sure your PO reflects the correct payment terms upon submission. Upon receipt of your PO, we will issue an invoice and send it to you. After payment has been received, your license code will be delivered.

    I graduated from an Educational Partner school last year, do I qualify for the student discount?

    Unfortunately, the Educational Partner Student Discount is reserved for currently enrolled students only. Once you have graduated, you are no longer eligible to receive the discount.
